12:00 TUESDAY – Stock Market Report #108 – 3/30/21

by Robert Holman | The Defensive Advisor |

IRS NEWS: In case you missed it, the IRS has pushed the April 15 tax-filing deadline to May 15.

ECONOMY and MARKETS … See my 2/28 eNewsletter for more info on inflation, interest rates and stock valuations. Inflation is increasing and most backward-looking series are not good, except that those periods are over. Consumer confidence, a forward-looking series, increased significantly. One spending bill has passed and another is coming forward for consideration.

WARREN BUFFETT … See my 3/23 eNewsletter for more on his investment returns.

CONCLUSION. Fiscal stimulus checks, coronavirus vaccine inoculations, etc. are pushing consumer confidence and consumer spending to post-covid highs. Fiscal stimulus addresses the economic contraction from coronavirus and injects economic growth into the economic system. The future looks encouraging for the economy and for stock prices.
